Personal, Social and Emotional Development

Personal, Social and Emotional Development

Children should feel safe and secure and trust the staff who work with them.

We use the SEAL programme (Social & Emotional Aspects of Learning), which has a different theme each half-term.

Making Relationships

It is important for children to form good relationships with others and work alongside others companionably.

Self-confidence and Self-awareness

Children have a sense of their own value and understand the need for sensitivity to significant events in their own and other people’s lives.

Managing Feelings and Behaviour

Children develop a growing understanding of what is right and what is wrong and why, together with learning about the impact of their words and actions on themselves and others.
