Did you know, its free to visit the dentist if you're under 18, or under 19 and in full time education, pregant or have had a baby in the last 12 months or if you're receiving low income benefits.
It is recommended to visit the dentist for a routine check up every 6 months.
Start brushing as soon as that first tooth arrives. Implementing the routine of brushing twice a day will promote good oral health, build confidence and ultimately decrease your child's risk of any tooth decay and longterm problems in the future.
A protective layer of fluoride builds when we brush our teeth, so its important not to wash it all away by rinsing our mouth.
Fluoride is great for our teeth, but little mouths need less of it. For kids under three, use just a smear. For ages three – six, a pea sized amount will do.
